eBook Compatibility and Software Requirements

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that they have a supported device or computer for reading eBooks; they have installed and activated the necessary software; and have chosen the correct file format prior to purchase.

Booku will not refund customers once an eBook has been downloaded and therefore it is in the customer's best interests to ensure that they have a supported device/computer, the necessary software and the correct file format:

Adobe PDF

• Can be read on PC, Macintosh and Adobe DRM-capable eBook Readers using Adobe Digital Editions and an Adobe ID.
• Can be read on iPhone and iPad using third party app, Bluefire Reader - please note that we are unable to provide support for this app.
• Cannot be read on iPhone, iPad or Android using OverDrive Media Console, our supported mobile device app.
• Cannot be read on Amazon Kindle
• Cannot be read using Adobe Acrobat Reader

Adobe ePUB

• Can be read on PC, Macintosh and Adobe DRM-capable eBook Readers using Adobe Digital Editions and an Adobe ID.

Digital Rights

All eBooks made available on the Booku website have restricted digital rights imposed by the publisher. These rights impose limitations on printing and copying of the eBook.  Digital rights limitations for each eBook can be found on the individual eBook pages under the link 'Digital Rights'.  By accepting the terms of use, customers acknowledge and accept the digital rights limitations for downloaded eBooks.  

Booku will not refund customers once an eBook has been downloaded and therefore it is in the customer's best interests to review the digital rights prior to purchase.
