Due to the fact that our eBooks are delivered instantaneously by electronic download, it is necessary for us to have a strong, unambiguous Refunds Policy. In general, we are not able to refund a purchase once a download has occurred.
Why? The simple fact is that it is not possible to 'return' an eBook to the point of purchase, as is the case with a physical product. Once fulfilled, it would not be possible for us to determine whether a customer retains the use of the eBook, even after a refund has been effected. Additionally, the act of downloading triggers a sale with our supplier and the apportionment of funds to the publisher/author, and it is not possible to undo this chain of events.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that your intended computer or reading device is compatible with the selected eBook format and reading software before purchase and subsequent download. Please also ensure that you understand the digital rights limitations imposed on the eBook by the publisher prior to purchase.
Booku will refund in full the purchase price of any title purchased from the Booku website if it cannot be downloaded or fails to perform as presented on the website, provided that the purchaser has a supported reading device and appropriate software, has read and understands the digital rights associated with the eBook, and notifies Booku of the issue via online contact form within 7 days of the date of purchase.
Booku is unable to refund customers who purchase an eBook(s) and subsequently determine that it is unreadable on an unsupported reading device or with unsupported software.
Booku is unable to refund customers who fail to understand the digital rights limitations imposed on the eBook by the publisher (eg. ability to print, ability to copy, etc)
