Read eBooks on your iPad
Step 1 - Get Adobe ID
Obtain a Adobe Account ID here...
An Adobe ID enables your iPad to authenticate the digital rights of your eBooks.
Step 2 - Install App
Open the App Store on your iPad and search for 'Overdrive'.
Install and open the free Overdrive Media Console app.
IMPORTANT: Our supported app for reading eBooks on the iPad, the Overdrive Media Console, can only read Adobe ePub eBooks - Adobe PDF eBooks are NOT supported by this app. It is possible to read Adobe PDF eBooks on the iPad using the Bluefire Reader (PC/Mac required for transfer via iTunes), however, we are unable to provide customer support for this app. Please also note that we are not able to provide refunds to customers who inadvertently purchase the wrong format for their device in any circumstances.
Step 3 - Activate App
In the Overdrive Media Console app, open 'Manager > Settings'.
Under 'Adobe Account', select 'Activate with Adobe ID'.
Enter your Adobe ID (email address) and password, and select 'Activate'.
Step 4 - Buy an eBook
On your iPad, visit Booku and purchase an eBook.
IMPORTANT: Our supported app for reading eBooks on the iPad, the Overdrive Media Console, can only read Adobe ePub eBooks - Adobe PDF eBooks are not supported by this app. It is possible to read Adobe PDF eBooks on the iPad using the Bluefire Reader, however, we are unable to provide customer support for this app.
Step 5 - Download and Read eBook
Navigate to My Bookshelf on the Booku website.
Download the eBook on your iPad. Overdrive Media Console will recognise the download and will open the eBook for you to read.
The download file is an .acsm file which triggers the eBook download in Overdrive Media Console. More information about .acsm issues can be found here.
